Education Voters of America (EVA) is committed to protecting your privacy on the Internet. EVA’s privacy policy reflects our strong commitment to respecting any information you choose to share with us. Information that you may choose to give us includes your name, address, email address, phone number, credit card information, and other information about your interests and preferences. We may obtain information from outside sources and add it to or combine it with the information we collect through this site. We use this information to operate this site, to send you news and information about EVA and the issues that we work on, and to credit those who are organizing support for EVA. We work closely with allied and like-minded organizations, including our sister organization Education Voters Institute. To further the mission of EVA, we may make this information available to these allied and like-minded organizations as well as other third parties, unless you have requested that we do not. You can request that your information not be shared outside the Education Voters family or not shared at all by emailing us your request to ‘edvoters AT edvoters.org’

Contributions

Education Voters of America is a nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation under Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions. To make a contribution online, we also ask for your credit card number and its expiration date.

Because Education Voters of America uses donations for political purposes such as supporting or opposing candidates for office, we do not accept contributions from business corprations or unions, and your personal contribution is NOT tax-deductible as charitable contributions.

“Tell A Friend” Feature

EdVoters.org makes it easy for you to spread the word about EVA with its “Tell A Friend” feature. When you use the “Tell a Friend” feature, the addresses of those you are communicating with are not added to our lists and they will not be contacted by the campaign unless they actually come to the site and register themselves.

IP Addresses and Log File Data

IP addresses are the location of your computer or network on the Internet. We log them for troubleshooting purposes, and to track which pages people visit in order to improve the quality of the site. We do not use the information to develop individual profiles.

Changes to the EdVoters.org Privacy Policy

We may revise and update this privacy policy if we change our practices, add new site features, or change existing site features. If we make substantive changes, we will post an announcement on our website home page and post the changes on this page. Your use of this website and any microsites managed and developed by EVA following such changes constitutes your agreement with regard to information collected from you. We encourage you to visit this page periodically to review our current policy and to contact EVA staff if you have questions.
